Not Possible To Allow Pak Artistes In India At The Moment: Javed Akhtar On Tuesday, screenwriter-lyricist Javed Akhtar said now is "not the right time" to ask if Pakistani artistes should be allowed to work in India. "Hopefully after some years, sense will prevail and there'll be a better attitude towards India from the establishment of Pakistan. But at the moment... not possible," Javed told PTI. He also noted that while artistes such as Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali, and Noor Jehan have in the past been welcomed by India, this hasn't been reciprocated by Pakistan's government. Javed's comments come days after government sources revealed that actor Fawad Khan's Abir Gulaal would not be allowed to release in India.
