{ LAHORE COPS SAY SHE MARRIED A LOCAL
A 48-year-old woman, who recently went to Pakistan as part of the Sikh jatha (group of pilgrims) for Guru Nanak Dev's 556th birth anniversary, has been reported missing, with Lahore police claiming that she has converted to Islam and married a local man.
According to Punjab police, Sarabjit Kaur, a resident of Kapurthala, was part of over 1,900 Sikh pilgrims who went to Pakistan on November 4 through the Attari-Wagah border to participate in the Parkash Purab celebrations at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib and other Sikh shrines.
The matter came to light on November 13 when the group returned to India, without Kaur, following which immigration officials at the Attari border reported the matter to police.
