Niche tech firms fuel new tide of GCCs

Tiny, niche back offices for high-tech, specialized work are being set up by new-age companies in India at an increasing pace, a trend that experts believe has the potential to take the global capability centre (GCC) wave to the next level in the country.

According to industry insiders, companies such as M31, d-Matrix, and MemryX, among several others, are increasingly setting up focused 'nano' GCCs in India. Michigan-based MemryX and Padova, Italy-based M31 are semiconductor companies working on building intellectual properties (IPs) and computing software. California-based d-Matrix builds computing solutions for its artificial intelligence (AI) models.
