Curbs Imposed in Hazaribag After Shivratri Clashes

HAZARIBAG: The Hazaribag administration in Jharkhand on Wednesday imposed prohibitory orders in parts of the district on Wednesday after two groups clashed during Mahashivratri celebrations, officials aware of the matter said.

"Prohibitory orders have been promulgated under section 163 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) banning procession, assembly of five or more persons, carrying of arms, etc," a police officer said on condition of anonymity.
