Former central banker Mark Carney, the favourite to replace Justin Trudeau as leader of the ruling Liberal Party, has said that if he becomes prime minister of Canada he will "rebuild" the trading relationship with India.
TORONTO:
"What Canada will be looking to do is to diversify our trading relationships with like-minded countries and there are opportunities to rebuild the relationship with India," Carney said, talking to the media in Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday.
He was responding to a question over tariffs imposed on Canada by the United States.
