LIVER REGENERATION DRUG SET FOR CLINICAL TRIALS

KANPUR: A team from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has developed a groundbreaking medication that could potentially cure liver fibrosis, a condition often linked to fatty liver disease and cirrhosis.
The innovative drug, created by the department of biosciences and bioengineering at IIT Kanpur, has been granted approval for clinical trials by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The trials are set to begin soon at Datt Meghe Hospital in Wardha, Maharashtra.
