Green Zone to Be Developed Along Haider Canal

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will develop a green valley along the banks of Haider canal, between Kalidas Marg intersection and the DGP residence.
LUCKNOW: The new green zone will feature native tree plantations, landscaped walkways, a cafeteria, and an entertainment zone, said LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar. He directed officials to begin preparations for this project during his inspection of development works in Zone-6 on Saturday.
Kumar said the canal strengthening work, estimated to cost Rs 20 crore, is underway along a 950-meter stretch. It includes construction of an RCC drain, stone pitching on slopes, railing installation for public safety and pathways on both sides of the canal.
