Hindustan Times Lucknow
|April 06, 2025
In spite of the DM's surprise inspection of a commercial complex outside regional transport office (RTO) and also of the RTO, where eight suspected touts were caught while police complaint was made against one found engaged in RTO work illegally, last month, the FIR lodged in this regard with the Sarojini Nagar police station does not specify as to how many touts are active there.
LUCKNOW:
Lucknow DM Vishak G, who carried out the surprise inspection on March 7, said, "I have instructed that ARTO and his team to go through the CCTV footages and try to identify the touts who are frequently spotted in the vicinity. They can be identified with the help of other staffs in the RTO office and adequate action can be taken by naming them in the FIR."
