SP MP sparks row again, remark on Dalit girl's rape draws flak
Hindustan Times Haryana
|April 22, 2025
Samajwadi Party Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman's alleged remark on the rape of a 12-year-old Dalit girl in Agra has drawn flak from the BJP's Agra Cantt MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister GS Dharmesh.
AGRA:
"PDA (Pichda, Dalit, Alpshankhyak) is merely a slogan for the Samajwadi Party," Dharmesh alleged, reacting to the supposed remark.
"It was totally insensitive on the part of Ramji Lal Suman to term the incident as not that big for which party president Akhilesh Yadav should have gone to meet the family of the victim when he was in Agra on Saturday," the BJP leader further said.
