BJP dismisses speculation of rifts within ruling Mahayuti

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is scotching rumours ofa fallout with its ally, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, with leaders asserting there are no cracks in the ruling Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra even as it pursues a decisive win in the upcoming local body polls.
Senior party leaders aware of the details said that both chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and deputy CM Shinde are on the “same page” and committed to the longevity of the coalition.
“There is an effort by the Opposition to create a mahaul (atmosphere)...the Mahayuti is going strong and whenever there are concerns, these are addressed by senior leaders, we have proper platforms for doing so...” a senior party leader in Delhi said on anonymity.
