Tejas pilot’s mortal remains to reach village in Himachal Pradesh today

A special aircraft of the Indian Air Force is bringing back the mortal remains of Wing Commander Namansh Syal, 37, who was killed on Friday after his Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA Mk-l) crashed during a demonstration flight at a Dubai airshow, officials aware of the matter said on Saturday.
At the time of going to press, the aircraft was expected to land in Delhi, officials said. Syal's mortal remains are set to reach his village in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra by Sunday. “We have made all arrangements for the cremation,” said his uncle Jogindernath Syal. Syal is survived by his wife, who also serves in the IAF, their sixyear-old daughter, and his parents.
