So Far, 28 People, Including Four Minors, Have Been Taken Into Custody And 18 Firs Were Filed

A 25-member special investigation team has been formed to probe the alleged sexual abuse of an 18-year-old Dalit athlete in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, officials said on Sunday, even as 13 more accused were taken into custody in connection with the case.

NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested four people, including a former chief executive officer of a cooperative bank, in connection with its money laundering probe into alleged embezzlement of funds at a Bihar cooperative bank promoted by a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MLA, people aware of the matter said on Sunday.

ED launched raids at 18 locations linked to RJD MLA from Ujiarpur Alok Kumar Mehta and some others allegedly linked to him in Bihar on January 10 as part of the probe into alleged bungling of funds in the Vaishali Shahri Vikas (VSV) Cooperative Bank.

Those arrested include former bank CEO Vipin Tiwari, his father-in-law Ram Babu Shandilya, and two others-Nitin Mehra and Sandeep Singh.

ED said they were produced before a PMLA court in New Delhi and remanded in judicial custody.
