Bishnoi gang member gunned down: UP cops

A 42-year-old sharpshooter from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, carrying a bounty of ₹1 lakh, was killed in an alleged encounter with police in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, a senior officer said.
LUCKNOW:
"The police encircled the accused, Jitu alias Jitendra, a resident of Sivan village in Jhajjar district of Haryana, and closed in after several rounds of gunfire were exchanged early Wednesday morning," additional director general of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) Amitabh Yash said on Wednesday.
