GURUGRAM: At least three individuals were injured, and a van was set ablaze after two groups clashed twice on Monday near Sohna Chowk on Old Railway Road, Gurugram, over a parking dispute, police said.
RAM: Five alleged members of an interstate vehicle lifting gang were arrested along the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), leading to the recovery of eight stolen vehicles, Gurugram police said on Monday. The arrests were made during a vehicle-lifting operation on Friday, during which two country-made automatic pistols, eight live cartridges, and two master keys were also seized.
Gurugram Police's public relations officer, Sandeep Kumar, said, "The suspects were spotted in a stolen Swift car with a fake number plate, while one was nabbed fleeing on a motorcycle." The suspects were identified as Mohammad Irshad, 23; Mohammad Talim, 32; Mohammad Zilshad, 19; Ajru, 24; and Saren Kalan village in Rajasthan, and Shahzad Khan, 21, from Kheri in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, police said.
The motorcycle was stolen from Sohna a few days ago. According to their indications, the stolen vehicles were recovered from Gurugram and Delhi. The gang has stolen dozens of vehicles from Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan in the past few weeks," Kumar added.
Investigators said the gang sold the stolen vehicles to sell parts. An FIR has been registered at Badshahpur police station, and raids are ongoing to nab more suspects.
