A woman and her live-in partner were arrested on Wednesday on charges of murdering the former's 5-year-old daughter in Khandari Bazar area of Qaiserbagh in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, police officers privy to the matter said.

Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) (west) Vishwajeet Srivastava said that the 25-year-old woman, Roshni Khan alias Naaz, and her partner, Udit Jaiswal (32), killed the girl on the night of July 13, locked her body in a bed box and left the house on Monday morning.
