June 12, 2025

Faridabad Police have booked five senior officials of a private hospital and an MBBS-qualified doctor who allegedly posed as a cardiologist, treating nearly 4,000 patients at a civil hospital—around 60 of whom underwent surgeries—resulting in at least three confirmed deaths, officers familiar with the investigation said.

GURUGRAM:

The man, police said on Wednesday, posed as a super-specialist without the required qualifications. The main accused, aged between 45 and 50, falsely claimed to be a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Cardiology and used the name and credentials of Dr Pankaj Mohan, a real cardiologist who eventually alerted the Indian Medical Association.
