Popular Bengali singer Lagnajita Chakraborty has alleged that she was harassed for not singing “secular songs” during a concert in West Bengal’s East Midnapore district, police said on Sunday, adding that one of the event's organisers has been arrested in connection with the incident.

“We have arrested the lone accused in the case Mehboob Mallik. He was one of the organisers and one of the owners of the school where the event took place. Investigation is going on...,” Mitun Kumar Dey, acting superintendent of police (SP), East Midnapore district, said.
