The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress on Monday held separate protests against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal over an alleged incident of defacement of Dr BR Ambedkar's statue in Punjab's Amritsar, where the AAP is currently in power.

Both the parties demanded that Kejriwal apologises to the Dalit community and steps down as AAP convenor.
