Slugfest continues over 'infiltration' from B'desh

The political slugfest continued in Maharashtra on Monday, a day after police confirmed actor Saif Ali Khan's attacker to be a Bangladeshi national, with the opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) leaders holding the BJP-led Centre responsible for the attack, alleging it failed to curb alleged infiltration from the neighbouring country.

The Mumbai police said that the accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammed Rohilla Amin Fakir (30), was an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh. He was arrested at around 2am on Sunday from a mangrove area near Hiranandani Estate in Thane district.
