Identify roads re-carpeted multiple times, MP Arora tells civic body

As member of Parliament (MP) Sanjeev Arora announced a major push for road and street development in Ludhiana, questions were raised about several city roads getting damaged within a year of re-carpeting, resulting in a waste of crores of public money, at a press conference at the municipal corporation's Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Tuesday.

MP Arora directed the municipal corporation (MC) commissioner and mayor to conduct a detailed survey to identify how many city roads have been re-carpeted two or three times in the past five years to find out the reasons behind the poor quality of work. Mayor principal Inderjit Kaur and MC commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal were also present on the occasion.
