BLO dies by suicide in Bengal, 2nd case in 1 week

A booth level officer (BLO) engaged in the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal allegedly died by suicide in Nadia district on Saturday due to the work pressure linked to the ongoing exercise, officials said.
The 53-year-old victim, who also worked as a para-teacher in a school in Nadia, was found dead at her residence in Krishnanagar by her family members, police said.
This is the second such incident to be reported in the eastern state since the SIR exercise began earlier this month.
