Selected school now await final nod from the Centre for funds
LUDHIANA: A total of 67 government schools from the district have secured a place on the shortlist under the sixth phase of the Prime Minister's Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) initiative. Out of 86 benchmarked institutions, these schools now await final selection by the central government.
The PM SHRI scheme, launched in 2022, aims to transform 14,500 government schools into model institutions that embody the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
