States Begin Identifying Pakistani Nationals as Deadline Nears

Several states on Friday started identifying Pakistani nationals residing in the country, to ensure citizens of the neighboring country do not stay in India beyond April 27, even as people thronged the borders to exit the country with the date of expiry of valid visas looming.
DEHRADUN/AHMEDABAD/PATNA: Several states on Friday started identifying Pakistani nationals residing in the country, to ensure citizens of the neighboring country do not stay in India beyond April 27, even as people thronged the borders to exit the country with the date of expiry of valid visas looming.
Earlier on Thursday, India revoked all visas issued to Pakistani citizens and advised its nationals not to travel to Pakistan as part of the punitive diplomatic measures over cross-border linkages to the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.
