Hukkeri SI Suspended for Negligence of Duty

Hukkeri police sub-inspector Nikhil Kamble was suspended for dereliction of duty after he failed to act against a man, accused of being associated with the Sri Ram Sena, who was among a group of people assaulted by villagers in Ingale last week, superintendent of police Bhimashankar Guled said.

Inspector Kamble was suspended for not monitoring the presence of the externed individual, not informing higher authorities about the assault, and for failing to document the situation regarding cattle transportation, which preceded the violence, Guled said.
