Eye on Bihar polls, Shah on 2-day visit

Union home minister Amit Shah on Saturday held a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Patna during which he set a target of winning 225 seats in the 243-member assembly, as the party gears up for the state polls later this year.

Shah reached Patna for a two-day visit late on Saturday, where he first held a strategy meeting with BJP MLAs, MLCs and office bearers, followed by a meeting of the BJP's state core committee.

The senior BJP leader has also invited suggestions from leaders on how to achieve the target set for the upcoming elections and rid the state of "jungle raj", people privy to the details of the meeting said.
