4 Dead as Bus Falls into Uttarakhand Gorge

At least four people were killed and 26 others were injured on Wednesday when an Uttarakhand roadways bus fell into a nearly 100m-deep gorge near Bhimtal in Nainital district, police said.
HALDWANI:
According to transport department officials, the roadways bus with 30 people on board was travelling from Pithoragarh to Haldwani via Bhimtal.
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his grief over the incident and announced ₹10 lakh ex gratia to the next of kin of each of the deceased and ₹3 lakh to those grievously injured in the accident and ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 to those sustaining minor injuries.
