28-year-old Hyd man shot dead in US; kin allege planned attack

A 28-year-old man from Telangana had been shot dead in Philadelphia, US, in a suspected targeted attack while making a late-night pizza delivery, his family said on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Kuncha Anshul, a resident of Gundlapochampally in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The death was confirmed by the Consulate General of India, New York, in an X post on Saturday. ‘‘We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Mr. Anshul Kuncha, an Indian national in Philadelphia, PA...The Consulate is in touch with Anshul's family and is extending all possible assistance,’’ the post read.
According to information received by Anshul's parents, Srinivas and Nilima, from local police, Anshul had received an order to deliver three pizzas to an apartment unit in North Philadelphia late on Saturday night.
