BOB the Bus, a Totnes community transport service, is one of three South Devon groups to be awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).

Bob the Bus volunteers and trustees are proud recipients of a King's Award
(Bob the Bus)
Also honoured were Rainbow Living in Torbay and Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled in the South Hams.
A spokesman for Bob the Bus, run, by Totnes and Rural Community Transport, said: “This is a fantastic tribute to everyone involved with Bob the Bus over its 30-year history - volunteer drivers, trustees, coordinators, passengers and supporters. It’s also a celebration of the more than 1,500 community transport groups in the UK, all of which are helping to meet local accessibility needs”
Equivalent to a MBE, KAVS is the highest honour given to local voluntary groups in the UK.
