Lyness: This is the worst week of my career

Dean Lyness admits the last few days at Hamilton Accies have been the worst of his career, as the club wait on an appeal over a 15-point sanction.

The New Douglas Park side were hit by the hefty SPFL sanction on Thursday, plummeting them to the foot of the Championship.

Failure to regain all or most of those points will see Accies officially relegated to League One.

Hamilton responded by drawing 0-0 at home to Queen's Park, and keeper Lyness said: “I've never been in this position before. It was quite late on when we got the news but it has probably been the hardest week I've been through in my career.
