Temperatures likely to hit 42°C tomorrow: NCM

Temperatures are expected to gradually rise on Saturday, with highs ranging between 29°C and 42°C, and lows between 16 °C and 25°C, and the country will be influenced by weak surface pressure systems accompanied by can upper-air high-pressure extension, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Friday's weather will be generally clear with occasional partial cloud cover, but humid during the night and on early Saturday morning, with a chance of light fog in some western coastal areas, the NCM indicated.

Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 kilometres/h, amounting to 30 kilometres/h and the waves will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, according to the NCM.
