Man fined Dhs20,000 for violating privacy of woman

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a man to pay Dhs20,000 in compensation to a woman for violating her privacy by posting photos and videos of her on social media.
Specifically, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the defendant, requesting that he be ordered to pay Dhs50,000 in compensation for material and moral damage to her honour and reputation, as well as costs, expenses and attorney's fees.
The plaintiff filed her lawsuit on the grounds that the defendant violated her privacy by publishing photos and videos of her on social media.
