Hunna Art is launching Kuwaiti artist Alymamah Rashed's debut Paris solo

Kuwait based Hunna Art, the independent contemporary art gallery committed to amplifying the voices of a new generation of women artists from or connected to the Arabian Peninsula, is presenting My Circular Spirit Resides in Your Land, the first solo exhibition in Paris by Kuwaiti visual artist, Alymamah Rashed (Jan. 8 -18, 2026).

The show marks a new articulation of the artist's evolving practice, following her recent collaboration with Christian Dior for the IOth edition of Lady Dior Art. It also presents a significant new body of work developed in continuity with an international trajectory. Through a constellation of paintings, watercolours and sculptural installations, Rashed immerses the viewer in the shifting environments, seasons and spiritual geographies of Kuwait.

Structured in three interconnected chapters - Al Arth (Land), Bahar (Sea) and Jazeera (Island) the exhibition unfolds as a cyclical journey, moving from desert to sea, from crossing to arrival. Each chapter reflects the rhythms of birth, transformation and return, extending the artist's vision of the soul as both nomadic and deeply rooted, living between land, water and air. Across these cycles, Rashed's practice has evolved into a complex system of correspondences and a sustained meditation on faith, femininity, and the ecology of the self. Drawing on Islamic symbolism, regional folklore and the sensory immediacy of everyday life, her visual language resists hierarchies situated between the sacred and the ordinary.
