Fire in Industrial Area 6 brought under control

Teams from Sharjah Civil Defence Authority (SCDA) completely brought under control a fire that broke out in the Industrial Area 6 in record time. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.

The rapid response and concerted efforts of all entities contributed to mitigating the consequences of the accident and confining the damage to the site itself, preventing it from spreading to other facilities or properties, the SCDA said.

Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Yousef Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of SCDA, revealed that Sharjah Police’s operations room received a report on the accident at 4:28pm, adding that Civil Defence vehicles, police patrols and the National Ambulance rushed to the site in accordance with a rapid and unified response plan.
