Court upholds order requiring hospitals to display rates
Gulf Today
|June 25, 2025
The Kerala High Court has dismissed a plea challenging the law mandating clinical establishments in the southern state to display the fee for their services prominently.
This display must be in Malayalam and English to ensure accessibility and transparency for all patients seeking medical care.
Every clinical facility must exhibit the fee structure and package rates for every type of service offered and the facilities available to patients.
The law stipulates that they must adhere strictly to the displayed rates and cannot charge patients fees or package rates that exceed them.
