Al Ain beat Al Orooba, Shabab Al Ahli stretch lead

Al Ain returned to winning form with a 3-0 win over Al Orooba in Matchweek 2! of the Pro League, held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on Saturday.

The home side started with attacking intent, pressing Al Orooba early, but couldn't score the opener in the opening half.

The breakthrough finally came just three minutes into the second half. Laba Kodjo rose high to head home Al Ain’s first goal in the 48th minute.

The momentum continued, and in the 53rd minute, Matias Palacios doubled the lead with a composed finish to make it 2-0.

In the 64th minute, Al Ain sealed the win with a third goal, this time from Sekou Baba, who calmly slotted the ball home after a clever assist from Kodjo.

Khorfakkan and Al Bataeh played out a |-I draw at Sagr Bin Mohammad Al Gassimi Stadium. Tissoudali put Khorfakkan ahead in the 8th minute, but Fialho leveled for Al Bataeh just after the break.
