Watch8 set to shake up the wearables race

It is the first smartwatch to come with Google’s Gemini Al assistant

Fresh off the flashy launch of its Flip7 and Fold7 phones, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Watch8 series. Prices in the UAE start at Dh1,299, while the premium Ultra model is priced at Dh2,499 (inclusive of VAT).

Samsung is aiming for a reset in the smartwatch market, where the Apple Watch remains dominant, and newer players like fitness-focused Whoop are raising the bar with advanced health tracking features.
