STUDIES FLAG CYBER AND SECURITY RISKS AMID STRONG GROWTH OUTLOOK

- BY JUSTIN VARGHESE

UAE-based organisations are operating in an increasingly complex global risk environment shaped by geopolitical instability, cyber threats, health pressures and natural hazards, even as the country continues to post strong economic growth, according to a series of recent international risk assessments.

The International SOS Risk Outlook 2026 found that 66 per cent of organisations say uncertainty has intensified over the past year, driven by converging geopolitical, cyber, health and environmental risks. Globally, 74 per cent of organisations reported that the window for making critical decisions is shrinking, while 57 per cent said new risks are emerging faster than they can manage.
