Nissan's new Patrol Nismo packs more power for the Middle East

Seeing more of the Nissan 'reds' zipping by lately?

It sure feels that way, thanks to the new Nissan Patrol Nismo, launched in late June with a starting price of Dh449,900. It comes equipped with a new 3.5-litre twin-turbo engine.

"This is the highest output for the VR35DDTT engine anywhere globally," Nissan had said at the time of the launch.

Torque on demand

And because this is the UAE and Gulf region — and the car in is the Patrol — there's a region-specific edition of the new Nismo. It delivers a hefty 495hp and 700Nm of torque in sport mode. "The region-specific tuning is a direct result of extensive customer insights and feedback...," Nissan said. That's quite a bit of muscle, to put it mildly.
