$2m award for boy and girl Quran reciters

The 28th edition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DI-HQA) will for the first time feature a dedicated category for female reciters, offering $1 million each to the top boy and girl reciters.

This is part of a trans-formation of the popular award that also sees the to-tal prize pool exceed Dh12 million — the highest in the award’s history.

The winner of the Islam-ic Personality of the Year award will get $1 million.
