Hammond stands firm during last-day rearguard

GLOUCESTERSHIRE batted all day to complete their day four task and ensure a County Championship draw with Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens.

Miles Hammond led the way with 84, remaining at the crease for 55 overs of the day, Gloucestershire ending on 255-7.

Ben Kellaway attempted to bowl Glamorgan to victory with career best figures of 6-111, adding to his century from day three.

Gloucestershire captain Cameron Bancroft said: “It’s been an arm-wrestle, we probably got outplayed a little bit and Glamorgan played really well but we fought really hard - there was one goal, to bat the day, and we were able to do that.
