Hoekwil Primary nurtures a love of reading

Hoekwil Primary School has made steady progress in promoting reading and literacy through the growth of its school library, a project that began five years ago shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic.

What started as a small initiative to support learners' reading development has grown into a valuable resource for the school. Today, the library holds more than 1 000 books, giving the learners greater access to reading material while encouraging a love of books from an early age.
