Two new drive-thru outlets and a petrol station could be built near a popular Somerset farm shop if plans are approved.

- Daniel Mumby Local democracy reporter

The White Row Farm Shop and Cafe lies on Old Warminster Road off the busy White Row roundabout in Beckington, which links the A361 between Frome and Trowbridge to the A36 between Bath and Salisbury.

Warleigh Capital, Spectrum Southern Ltd. and White Row Country Foods Ltd. have put forward joint plans to build a new services area south of the farm shop, between the A36 and the current entrance.

Somerset Council is expected to make a decision on the proposals by the early-summer.

Access to the new site will be created between the White Row roundabout and the current farm shop entrance, with the new petrol station being constructed at the western end of the site.

A total of 75 car parking spaces will be provided across the entire complex, with an electric vehicle charging hub being created south of the petrol station.
