Mop-up rises 1.3% on year to ₹1.79L crore
THE GROSS GOODS and services tax (GST) collections, including cess, stood at ₹1.79 lakh crore in December 2025 (reflecting November transactions), registering a year-onyear growth of 1.3%.
This reflects a gradual normalisation of GST revenues after tax rates were cut on about 375 items on September 22.
Gross GST revenues had declined by around 4% in November (October sales), absorbing the first full-month impact of the GST rate cuts and the lowering of effective tax incidence, including the cess on luxury automobiles.
