TELEVISION TECHNOLOGY IS evolving rapidly with advancements in display technology, processing power and the integration of AI. The push for higher resolution continues, with present-day TVs offering sharper images and good audio. It is literally like bringing the cinema home, thanks to OLED (organic light emitting diode) and QLED (quantum dot light emitting diode)—both advanced display technologies, but they differ in their core mechanisms.

OLED offers superior picture quality with perfect blacks and high contrast, but may be susceptible to burn-in. QLED provides good brightness and color, with no burn-in risk, and is often more budget-friendly.

The best way to experience technology is to use it. Recently, we got an opportunity to evaluate two new 55-inch QLED units. Here are our thoughts on them.
