New Kia Seltos debuts with India-led revamp

KIA HAS UNVEILED the second-generation Seltos in India as it seeks to reclaim leadership in the midsize SUV segment.

The the midsize SUV category grew more than 9% year-onyear in FY25, accounting for about 14.2% of the total passenger vehicle market.The original Seltos, which made its debut in India in 2019, was initially a strong seller. But competition has intensified, with the Hyundai Creta receiving a full model change and new entrants such as the Maruti Victors, Tata Sierra and the upcoming Renault Duster raising standards on design, safety and technology. Bookings for the new Seltos open at midnight, with prices to be announced on January 2, 2026, and deliveries beginning in mid-January.
