L&T profit beats Street, up 30%

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) posted a 30% jump in net profit at ₹3,617 crore in the first quarter of FY26 compared with ₹2,786 crore in the year-ago period, beating analyst estimates. Sequentially, profit fell 34%.

Analysts had estimated a net profit of ₹3,400 crore during April-June.

The company also beat analyst estimates on the revenue front and posted a 16% jump in revenue at ₹63,679 crore compared with ₹55,120 crore in the first quarter of FY25. Analysts expected revenue of ₹62,832 crore in the first quarter of this financial year. Sequentially, revenue fell 14%.

International revenues during the quarter were at ₹32,994 crore, making up 52% of its total revenues.
