COMPANY TARGETS TO OPEN 54 NEW OUTLETS IN FY26

AVENUE SUPERMARTS, the operator of DMart, reported Q1FY26 sales of ₹15,900 crore, reflecting a 16.2% year-on-year increase. However, same-store sales growth (SSSG) stood at 7.1%, lower than the 8%+ recorded in H2FY25. The company attributed the slower growth to deflation in both staples and select non-food categories, which led to a 100–150 basis point drag on revenue growth. EBITDA came in at ₹1,310 crore, up 7.6% y-o-y, with a margin of 8.2%—both marginally below Bloomberg consensus estimates by around 1%.
