Govt appoints executive directors at seven PSBs

THE GOVERNMENT HAS announced the appointment of executive directors, effective November 24, 2025, in seven state-run banks - Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Indian Bank, Central Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra.

Amit Kumar Srivastava has been appointed executive director (ED) of Punjab National Bank (PNB), while Amresh Prasad has been appointed ED of Union Bank of India. Prasad joins from PNB, bringing expertise in corporate credit, monitoring, and transaction oversight.
