Sebi not considering new measures on F&O: Pandey

THE SECURITIES AND Exchange Board of India (Sebi) is not planning fresh regulatory reforms for the equity futures and options (F&O) segment, Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey said on Wednesday.
“At the moment, we are not contemplating any measures. Whatever framework we have put in place will continue,” Pandey said on the sidelines of the launch of a pan-India outreach programme for corporate bonds.
He said Sebi is looking at the derivatives market in a methodical manner. To a specific query on weekly expiry and whether Sebi is mulling banning them, Pandey said the regulator will continue with the status quo.
