TVS Q3 profit rises 4% to ₹618 cr

TVS MOTOR COMPANY on Tuesday reported a modest 4% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit at ₹618.48 crore for the December 2024 quarter.
Revenue from operations grew 10% y-o-y to ₹9,097.05 crore during the quarter. Both revenue and net profit fell short of Bloomberg estimates of ₹9,113 crore and ₹650 crore, respectively.
The Chennai-based two- and three-wheeler manufacturer posted a 10% y-o-y growth in overall vehicle sales, including exports, amounting to 1.21 million units for the quarter. Motorcycle sales increased 6% to 556,000 units, while scooter sales grew by a robust 22% to 493,000 units. However, three-wheeler sales declined to 29,000 units, compared to 38,000 units in Q3FY24.
